Do Quests Continue After Beating Ending a of Nier Gestalt
Route B is the same chapters but from 9S' perspective and new side quests.
Route C is entirely new content.
So after route B it's from 9S perspective?
I just complete the game bunch of times to get different routes?
1st time = Route A
2nd time = Route B
3rd time = Route C
and so on?
It's complicated.
Route A leading up to ending A is the first half of the game from 2B's perspective.
Route B leading up to ending B is the first half of the game from 9S' perspective.
Route C is the second half of the game from all characters' perspectives. This leads up to ending C, D, and the real/canon ending E.
Each new route starts when the player hits *Continue* after having saved during the credit text.
Think of the game being divided into episodes. When you "beat" the game to ending A, you've merely watched episode 1 (and get credits at the end of the episode). There're still a few more episodes to go in the game.
I thought it was kind of cool when I found out. Kind of like getting two games in one, except the "second" one is semi-hidden. =P
But yeah, Route C is completely different, and is a lot better storywise than what came before, in my opinion.
And can you cchoose if we want to play route c or d after we beat route a?

You can't jump from Route A to Route C, no. You have to play through Route B before C unlocks.
There's a lot of story stuff that is revealed in Route B (during the parts of the game when 2B and 9S are separated) which are needed in order to understand stuff that happens in Route C.
Ending D isn't really a route on its own, it's one of the three endings following Route C (which is the final route you have to do to gain access to all the remaining main endings: endings C, D and E)

Since we are talking about story stuff to be revelaed and understand i wonder.. since thef first nier didnt come to pc playingwill automata be a problem or not? i read the story of the first in wikipedia it says it is about humans fighting mosnters but this nier automata takes years later after that. I mean the events of nier 1 have anything to do with nier 2? because i didnt see anything about alien robots invading earth but in nier automta wr play 3 robots created by humans who fight alien robots
And how long is each route?
The original NIER's story isn't essential in order to have a firm grasp on what's going on in Automata, at least not until the end, but Automata does a good job of filling you in with intel documents and whatnot if you want all the specifics.
Don't think of Automata as a direct sequel to the original NIER, but more like its own story that just so happens to take place in the same universe as the original NIER. There are definitely connections to the original, but, overall, Automata is its own unique story with its own unique characters.
Route A will take you roughly 20-25 or so hours if you're doing the sidequests.
Route B will take you roughly 10-15 hours -- all the sidequests you completed in the first Route do not have to be completed again; new side quests are introduced; and you keep all your levels and equipment from the first Route.
Route C will take you roughly 10-15 hours -- completely new content; the point of no return for most (I think) sidequests in routes A and B (until you unlock ch. select); new side quests introduced; again, all levels and equipment carry over; and you gain access to the final endings.

Αnd route d? How long will that take?
Αnd route d? How long will that take?
There's an ending D, but not a Route D.
Once you complete Route C, you will get either ending C or D. Once you get either of the two, you will unlock chapter select, which will allow you to go back quickly and get the other ending. It takes like five minutes. Then, once you have seen both endings, you will automatically unlock ending E.

Better to think of the game split into parts or episodes.
Part 1 ends with ending A.
Part 2 ends with ending B.
Part 3 ends with a decision to conclude as C, or D. You can then replay the last chapter to go for the other ending choice.
Part 4 is a mini segment for ending E.
